Brevini Drives Become ABS Type Approved
Brevini Power Transmission is delighted to announce that it has received type approval from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) for the following applications:
- Crane applications – hoisting and slewing mechanisms
- Steering mechanisms on azimuth thrusters
This means that in many instances, case-by-case product certification is no longer required when units are in the abovementioned applications, saving considerable cost to the customer.
The Product Type Approval covers all of the Brevini Power Transmission planetary gearbox range, giving massive flexibility within the machine design.
