Brevini Power Transmission joins forces with La Leonessa Group to form new
slewing ring production facility in Yancheng
The Brevini Power Transmission Group has entered into a major joint venture with the Leonessa Group to develop a new industrial plant in the city of Yancheng, China. With two highly successful manufacturing plants already operating in Yancheng, Brevini Power Transmission has considerable experience of Chinese industrial markets.
The new plant, which will operate as Leonessa Brevini Yancheng, will manufacture slewing rings for a wide range of applications including wind power, a sector already supplied by both companies..
Currently under construction, the new facility will occupy an area of 40,000 square metres and will manufacture rings from 400mm diameter to 4000 metre diameter. Incorporating the very latest technology, it will provide a unique package of integrated products and services. Production will start in the first quarter of 2012.
The President of Leonessa Brevini Yancheng will be Tommaso Ghirardi (CEO of the Leonessa Group). Vice President will be Renato Brevini (CEO of Brevini Power Transmission).
