Gearbox repair and service

Our core activity is the efficient repair, service and reconditioning of industrial transmission equipment.

Typically, we collect the unit from the customer and then systematically strip it down in one of our two facilities. As we progress we collect any relevant details, which are submitted to our client in report form together with an assessment of the condition of the unit and a description of any damage found. All findings are supported by photographic evidence.

Reports generally include a fully-costed repair proposal but where a failure is causing lost production enter into a more fluid dialogue with the customer.

Damaged components may be replaced with OEM sourced spares or where necessary with reverse-engineered parts.

Once a course of action is agreed we rebuild with new consumables checking limits, fits and contact patterns as we go.

We spin test rebuilt units at a suitable speed, ensuring that noise, vibration and temperatures remain in range.

With over more than twenty years of servicing gearboxes from almost all sectors and manufacturers, the Brevini team have a large pool of experience to draw on. This is augmented by the vast technical knowledge available from Brevini as a designer and manufacturer of new products.
