Gearbox repair and service
For gearbox repair services, typically, we collect the unit from the customer and then systematically strip it down in one of our two facilities. As we progress, we collect all relevant details, which are then submitted to our client in report form together with an assessment of the condition of the unit and a description of any damage found. All findings are supported by photographic evidence.
- Reports generally include a fully-costed gearbox repair proposal but where a failure is causing lost production we enter into a more fluid dialogue with the customer.
- Damaged components may be replaced with OEM sourced spares or reverse-engineered parts.
- Once a course of action is agreed we rebuild with new consumables, checking limits, fits and contact patterns as we go.
- All rebuilt units are spin tested
